On November 20, 2024, an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Austrian writer Friederike Mayröcker was held in the reading room of foreign literature. A slideshow was presented, containing information about the life and works of the writer, followed by a report. A review of one of her books was also organized. The report was presented by the scientific advisor of the Austrian Library, Professor B.Zh. Shpikbaeva.
