1.1 Library and Information Center (hereinafter – LIC) Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages stores funds in the thematic areas of the educational process and research activities of the university and organizes access to them.
1.2 LIC functions of a scientific, informational, cultural and educational nature, provides educational, educational, scientific and innovative activities at the university.
1.3 These Rules are developed in accordance with the Model Regulations “On the Library of the Organization of Higher Professional Education”, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 17, 2000 No. 827; Regulations on the Library named after al-Farabi and normative documents of the university.
2.The order of registration of readers in the Library
2.1 Readers are registered in the library in the LIC subscription (UK # 1, room 101)
2.2 Registration of readers in the library is made upon presentation of an identity card and 2 photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm.
2.3 After registration, the reader is obliged to familiarize himself with the rules for using the CIC and strictly observe them.
3.Rules for using the subscription
3.1 On subscriptions, literature is handed out to the house.
3.2 When ordering literature, the reader presents a library card.
3.3 When receiving books and other materials from the LIC fund, the reader is obliged to carefully look through the publications and, if any defects are found, inform the librarian about it, otherwise the reader who has used the latter is responsible for damage to the publications.
3.4 The user receives literature for one semester or one academic year.
3.5 Encyclopedias, reference books, dissertations are issued only in reading rooms. If the necessary literature is not on the subscription, access to the materials can be obtained through the library website https://library.ablaikhan.kz.
4.Rules for use of the reading room
4.1 To use the reading room, it is sufficient to present a library card to register the visit.
4.2 In the reading room, visitors are given the opportunity to work in open access mode in the fund of the reading room, which allows them to independently find the necessary literature, view the publications available in the fund on topics of interest.
5.Rules for the use of electronic rooms LIC
5.1 To use the electronic hall of the Library, the user only needs to present the library card to the librarian.
5.2 The electronic hall provides access to Internet resources, subscription databases and electronic information resources of its own generation.
6.Rules of use of the Reference and bibliographic service
6.1 To use the LIC reference and bibliographic service, the user just needs to show the library card to the librarian.
6.2 The Periodicals Hall provides access to domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines, newsletters and bulletins, etc. over the last year. Previously published editions can be ordered from the BIC fund by contacting the hall librarian.
6.3 For the convenience of users, folders with frequently requested periodicals have been prepared in the hall (UK # 1, room 219)
7.Work of the department of acquisition and processing with gifts
7.1 The main criteria for accepting a publication / s as a gift is its / their relevance, scientific, historical and artistic value, compliance with the thematic and typological profile of the collection of the LIC fund.
7.2 The Library does not accept as a gift publications aimed at promoting ethnic and religious hatred, racial intolerance, propaganda of antisocial behavior and other negative phenomena.
7.3 Acceptance of publications as a gift is carried out in the acquisition and processing department of the LIC (UK # 3, office 110) be indicated: author, title, publisher, year of publication, physical condition of the publication or contact by phone: ext. (2190).
