There was a meeting of heads and scientific heads of libraries in Austria, organised by the Department of International Cultural Affairs of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria.
On 7 November 2023 in Vienna, in the main building of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, a meeting was organised, in which the scientific director of the Austrian Library, Professor Shpikbaev Bakhyt Zhatkanbaevna Shpikbaev and the head of the department of information services of the Library Information Centre Kuanyshova Leyla Alshynbaevna participated.
The meeting participants from 28 countries took part in reports and discussions on publications, projects, goals and objectives of Austrian libraries abroad.
8 – 9 November participants visited the book fair “Buch Wien – 2023”, got acquainted with new releases of Austrian literature, met with writers and representatives of the publishing house.
